Driving Directions

Note: If arriving after 5:30 pm, please supplement following directions by entering through the Bernard Mitchell Hospital Entrance

From Lake Shore Drive (North or South)

Exit at 57th Drive (the Museum of Science and Industry).
Follow the winding street through 2 lights. After the 2nd light, you will then be heading South.
About 1/4 mile after the 2nd light , take a right at the split in the road. You will now be heading West on the Midway Plaisance.
Continue on the Midway Plaisance to Ellis Avenue and turn RIGHT.
After one block take an immediate LEFT onto 59th Street .
Turn RIGHT onto Maryland Ave, and park in the garage on the left side of the street. (Don't forget to bring your ticket stub for validation!)

Inside Building:
- Exit the parking garage from the 1st Level.
- Cross Maryland Ave. and enter the hospital through the large, revolving doors at the entrance labeled Wyler Children's Hospital (directly across the street from the Parking Garage Office).
  - Tell the security officer that you are participating in a research study conducted by Dr. Andrea King (Room M360, phone number: 4-8654)
- Walk straight through the C-Corridor (yellow painted hallway to immediate right of security desk)
- Continue through C-Corridor, D-Corridor, and M-Corridor (see map in printable directions)
- Take the P-WEST Elevator (on your right) to the 3rd Floor
- Exit the elevator and turn LEFT
- Take another immediate LEFT to the M-Corridor
- Walk down the M-Corridor to M360 (C-Stop's Main Offices)

From the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94)

Exit at Garfield Blvd. (55th Street) .
Go EAST on Garfield for about 1 mile, following the signs for the University of Chicago.
The street will branch (Left = 55th Street ; Right = Midway Plaisance). Remain on the Left side and continue winding towards Cottage Grove. (Note: This is fairly tricky to navigate, so feel free to give us a call (773-834-8654) if you need any assistance with locating Cottage Grove!)
At Cottage Grove, take a RIGHT .
Continue on Cottage Grove. Take a LEFT at the 59th street stoplight.
Continue on 59th, take a LEFT at stop sign ( Maryland Ave.), parking in the garage on the left side of the street. (Don't forget to bring your ticket stub for validation!)

Red Line Train

Take the Red Line Train and get off at Garfield/55th stop.
Exit the station, cross 55th Street
Take the #55 Bus or #55X bus East (Towards the lake)
Get off the bus at Cottage Grove
Walk South on Cottage Grove for 3 blocks, taking a LEFT on 58th Street
Walk on block and turn RIGHT at Maryland Ave
Walk approximately 1/2 way down Maryland Ave and enter the hospital through the large, revolving doors at the entrance marked Wyler Children's Hospital.

- Walk straight through the C-Corridor (yellow painted hallway to immediate right of security desk)

Green Line Train

Take the Green Line Train and get off at the Garfield stop.
Exit the station, cross 55th Street
Take the #55 Bus or #55X bus East (Towards the lake)
Get off the bus at Cottage Grove

Bus - CTA #2 Hyde Park Express (downtown Chicago and the Loop to Hyde Park)

Catch the bus SOUTHBOUND on Michigan Avenue if you are North of Wacker (300 N) and on
State Street if you are South of Wacker.
Get off at 60 th Street and Ellis (the stop right before it is 60 th and University).
Turn right. Walk on Ellis to 59 th street (you will pass the Midway Plaisance).
Turn left and walk to 59 th and Drexel.
Turn right and enter hospital through the Goldblatt Pavilion ( Cancer Research Center) at 860 E. 59 th Street.

Inside Building:

- Walk down the hallway on your RIGHT
- Continue through the W-Corridor (See map in printable directions)
- Take the A-West Elevator (on your left) to the 3rd Floor

Bus - CTA #6 Jeffrey Express (the Loop to Hyde Park)

Catch the bus SOUTHBOUND on State Street in the Loop.
Get off at 59th Street , walk under the Metra train tracks, and continue WEST for about a mile.
Go to 59 th and Drexel .
Enter Hospital through the Goldblatt Pavilion ( Cancer Research Center) at 860 E. 59 th Street.

Inside Building:

- Walk down the hallway on your RIGHT
- Continue through the W-Corridor (See map in printable directions)
- Take the A-West Elevator (on your left) to the 3rd Floor
- Exit the elevator and turn RIGHT
- Take another immediate RIGHT to the M-Corridor
- Walk down the M-Corridor to M360 (C-Stop's Main Offices)

Bus - CTA #4 Cottage Grove (Michigan Ave to Hyde Park)

Catch the bus SOUTHBOUND on Michigan Avenue , or on Cottage Grove if South of the Loop and closer to 35th Street.
Get off at 58th Street and turn left (walk toward Maryland Ave).
CONTINUE on 58th to Maryland Avenue (1 block).
Turn RIGHT at Maryland Avenue ,
Walk approximately 1/2 way down Maryland Ave and enter the hospital through the large revolving doors at the entrance marked Wyler Children's Hospital
